Life On Colerain Rd. St Martins NB Canada

Time machine take me back to a warm sunny day. Running and playing, doing what children know best. Fawn memorys of my grandmother's country home where we lived. Where the deer played in the field like sheep in the meadow. The walks down the country road and watching my dad chase after the baby foxes playing in the field and grab one with blanket. The next thing my sister and I have a pet baby fox for a while until the poor thing died from a guill from a porcupine that had work it's way to it's heart. After our lost of the baby fox my sister didn't like porcupines. One day after a visit of my grandmother my sister and I went chasing a porcupine through the woods . It's a good thing we never got close to a porcupine or we may have ended up like the baby fox with alot of guills in us. I was about 5 and my sister 7 years old. our parents didn't know about the hunt for porcupines. Life in the country wasn't always happy as my only little brother at the time was always throwing rocks with his slingshot. Now one day I got one of those rock to my forehead and it left a scare under my bangs or hair. The days when life was happy and parents were getting alone and we children sat on our swings under the big trees. Doing things like stealing vegetables or cucumbers in dad's garden. The summer days seem hotter and longer on Colerrain Road. The apple blossoms were very beautiful and hard to forget. The family drives on those country days looking at the flowers and trees. I lay back in my sit and watch the tall  power poles and the blue clouds. Picking blueberry in the fields. Family swims with my dad! Rides on our horse in the woods with my father.(C)Copyrights!dawnangel
